A day of battle is a day of harvest for the devil. ~William Hooke
15th Century Japan
A saying all too true for the warring villages of Taijin and Geroku. The villages were at war for nearly two hundred years before finally breaking into each other and calling peace. Hundreds of thousands of lives wasted for nearly two centuries. Finding peace was the smallest challenge the small Japanese villages would face up to this point. As of recent there have been sightings and disappearances throughout both villages, the local homeless and drunks say they have seen monstrous creatures of the night, some made of the elements tearing people apart in the dark of night. The rulers of the villages see otherwise, blaming one another for the disappearing people, war has began to ensue once more but the real war lies within the villages themselves, people still disappear, samurai have began to run freely as rogues killing as they please striking fear into the souls of the innocent. The rulers of these villages do nothing but point fingers leaving no one but themselves to blame, now the sightings have become more frequent and there has been word of a force mobilizing to the south of the villages, tales of monsters and fire beings and even the dreaded Akuma has been said to roam the land. Some say it is the worlds way of getting revenge upon the villages for destroying the land with war. The question is not how will it all end, but how will you begin?
