Jasmine had stood in the doorway for what seemed like hours, just staring straight ahead, eyes glassy. What had happened? That man who had- She didn't want to think about it. But she did believe what he had said. That she would never be able to leave. how else would he get that crazy?
She had finally moved. She needed to find a place to hide. She didn't want to stand there forever. What if he came back? She wanted to stay away from him. She bit her lip as she walked warily into the house. She found herself in what seemed to be the living room. She needed to sit down. She walked over to the lounge and sat behind it, hiding and resting together. Her breathing was still fast and her heart was still pounding. She just wanted to go home.

Ran walked into the living room, slowly, placing one foot before the other and tilting his head curiously to look at the things occupying it. The way he looked at everything, it was as if it was all new to him. Although, truth to be said, he knew this place, this house so well, better than the back of his hand. In fact, if he was blinded, he would still be able to move about as freely as if he had his sight. Nothing changed in the house. Nothing will ever change.
There is no one else besides him in these places.
Ran has been alone for so long. Nothing moved in the houses except him. True, sometimes invisible ghosts and the wind'll play with him. He thought of dark waters rippling with a drop. Thoughts that he'd been entertaining before were dropped immediately with it, the sands of his mind fell upon a beautiful turquoise marble upon the floor, against the wall behind the lounge. A small soft smile tweaked at his lips. He drifted over, his bare feet making silence upon the floor, lightly and with a waif-like grace, crouched down to pick up the marble.

Jasmine didn't hear the boy come into the room. She had her eyes closed and her head in her hands. Her breathing was heavy as she tried to calm herself. Nobody would find her. She would just stay here until she could find a way out.
A shadow interrupted the light that was filtering through her eyelids. She opened her eyes and let out a startled cry as she saw him. She moved as far back away from him as the small space behibnd the lounge would allow. Not again, she didn't want to be abused like that crazy man had again.

Turquoise blue. Ran loved that color.
Sitting back on his heels, he picked up the marble to admire it. Who could believe that such a lovely thing was in the house? He tossed it up a little, making to catch it. Ran would have, except for the millisecond when the girl screamed. Within that millisecond, Ran's silent screams, torment and fear lasted for an eternity.
Then, in the next moment, Ran was after the marble that had bounced back towards the center of the living room. His mind had already wiped itself clean of that memory, refusing to acknowledge the existence of any other. The house empty. All except for him. He's all on his lonesome, with no one else in his world.

Jasmine was so confused and relieved when he left her. But why had he left her? For a momewnt he had noticed her, but as soon as she had cut off her scream he left again. Was he good? Her certainly didn't seem as twisted as the other man.
She edged out from behind the lounge and stood hesitantly, as if she was ready to pop back down into her hiding spot. "Um, excuse me? Can you please help me?" Her voice sounded tiny, childlike. Maybe there was someone good in this house who could help her.

Ran didn't hear her. Or he gave no sign of it, playing with the marble like a little child as well. His mind was entirely blocked from her now, recognizing that voice. His trauma shielded him from it, not letting him realize that he wasn't alone in this world. That he wasn't safe. He was safe on his lonesome and he needed no one.
The marble was so pretty. He wished he'd found it earlier. Ran was going to keep it, moving in his tattered clothing of silk, a small strip of it around his neck with a random string of turquoise pearls and silver links added to him. As out of place and random as his dressage was, it suited him perfectly well.

Tears of pain and frustration formed in Jasmine's eyes. She wasn't used to being ignored and she didn't like it. She liked to believe that there was good in everyone but this house was doing strange things to people. It made the man crazy and now this boy was ignoring her.
She reached out a hand and touched his shoulder. "Please, please help me. I don't know where I am or why I can't leave. I don't think I can handle being ignored as well... Please?" She tried not to let her tears show. Generally she never cried. She never found reason to until today.

Ran glanced back over his shoulder when he felt the wind playing with him, his eyes glazing over when they went pass the girl's location. He didn't see her, he saw no one there, his sight focused much on something further behind her, through her, and that was the wall. giving a small nervous pout and chewing his bottom lip, he slipped out from under that weight on his shoulder, believing that the ghosts were teasing him again.
Even when the girl cried, his mind ruthlessly cut off acknowledging her existence, protecting its host. Nothing nothing must threaten or let the Jade Child know that he's threatened. It was a matter of survival. If the mind allowed its host, the Jade Child, lose to his fear and terror, then it will, in evidently be massacred. Replaced with Insanity.

Jasmine saw the boys eyes move past her. What was going on? She didn't like this one bit. He seemed to be blocking her out, like she didn't exist. Some part of her mind wondered if she really did exist at all. Nothing seemed real in this place.
She turned around and sat on the couch. "You know, this isn't right, it's not nice to ignore people." She sobbed. "Why won't anyone help me?"

Then the couch sit sank and Ran looked briefly over before smiling and shrugging, guessing that the ghost must have just been saying hi. He looked at the marble again, before dropping it in his pocket, slowly shuffling out of the room. He wondered if the ghost'll mind him taking the marble. He really liked it, but now, as he crossed the threshold out of the living room and back into the hallway, he was beginning to forget what had happened in the room, moving towards the kitchen.
[Sorry for all the ignoring =( ]
