[Working bit round the plot on this one.]
Ran was making tea. Using the kitchens like it was his. But it wasn't. He'd just forgotten that. Or selectively forgetting that.
It was Jasper's 'Earl Grey'.
Citric fragrance wrafted throughout the kitchen, filling it and spilling out into the hallways and corridors leading there. He'd forgotten to turn the tap off when he put the water in the pot. Then he had thought that he was making a big pot of it, heating up the water over the stove.
Now the table was steaming with 16 porcelain cups of golden brown Earl Grey, the reason for the fragrance.
Ran sat at the head of the table in the kitchen atop a stool, drinking from the 17th cup. The kitchen cupboards weren't closed. He'd forgotten to, right after he'd put back the box of tea bags. The pot was hung back where it was supposed to be for drying. At least the fire was off as well. Sometimes, he forgot that he'd been cooking and just left the kitchen with it on.

Mimi had been wanting to see the gardens for awhile, just wanting to get outside and out of this place for awhile. But as she headed towards the door,a smell rather a certain fragrance caught her nose. Was someone making tea,she decided to forget about heading outside and started walking towards the source of the smell coming upon the kitchen but what met her eyes was the expression of being a little surprised.
Her eyes fell the tap of water still running, then to the many cups of tea and then to the cupboards not being closed but finally her eyes fell upon the person responsible for all this. We're they crazy, and who the hell drinks that much tea it was just unheard of.This reminded her of that mad hatter in alice in wonderland, always drinking so much tea.
"Hey you, what the hell is this huh......".

Sipping that warm golden liquid, Ran watched the steam rise and dance above the other cups, positioned carelessly, yet in a loopsided hexagon. The sight was pretty, it calmed him for abit. He hadn't realised how his pulse had quickened for a moment, when the girl came in. He hadn't the time to acknowledge the whip quick stab of utter fear of a threat to his preciously protected lonesome world.
Because, in a moment,
where his eyes had gazed up slightly, following the rise of the steam, they glazed over where Mimi was; for, to him, there was no one there. This was 'his' house. The one he'd never left for as long as he could remember. The one where he'd been alone and cold in forever.
Ran would never admit to himself how he glazed over places, unwilling to look where eyes could have been, unwilling to pass or move through places where something...or someone could have been. He would never admit to himself, how he always confronted strange winds, that could sometime be as strong as a physical body when it touched him.
This was, his own little world.

Was he ignoring her, quirking a brow she quickly went to turn the water off then went onto closing the cupboards.Honestly someone who forgot to do things after they open them,or leaves the water running is not paying attention to anything they are doing. When she was done she took a seat on one of the stools, just staring down at the tea in front of her.Did this guy expect to drink all of this,it seemed like alot for just one person to enjoy but then again she didn't want to drink any afraid she would anger him.
((sorry short XP))

[xPP sorry that he's not reacting much xD <<; Ran's actually the hardest charrie for me. -loves to talk-]
When the tap and the cupboard doors closed, it brought Ran's attention to them, looking directly at the objects rather than the one closing them. He'd reacted the same way one would when thinking something closed on their own. But he was more than used to this. Ghosts in the house.
He sipped more from his cup, holding it with both hands, jade eyes serene yet with a touch of resignation. The tea was fragrant. Ran inhaled its scent with a deep breath, just as a stool was taken out from under the table. He briefly turned his head in that direction, not entirely focusing either. The madness that protected his delusional sanity was already on guard since the girl's entrance. It wouldn't forget Mimi's presence so soon, caging Ran's awareness of another being safely away.

Well it was obvious he wasn't going to speak to her,but she just couldn't pull herself away from these scents of the tea in front of her.Maybe one cup wouldn't hurt would it,so watching him out of the corner of her eye she reached out for a cup of tea taking one of the many in her hands. It was nice and hot,she brought it close to her nose and took a smell.
It was too tempting not to have a sip,and before she knew it the tip of the porcelain cup touched her lips and she was drinking some of the tea.Her master wasn't around at the momment,so why not have some time to herself she deserved it more then anything. And drinking this made her forget she had a bad ass attitude, one could always lose themselves in a cup of tea.
((It's ok lol))

The cup floated up by itself. Ah, so the ghosts are joining him now. Ran was glad he made extra cups, since that meant that the ghosts will not feel left out. To that, he only gave a smile at the 'ghost', or rather just generally in that direction, an expression ever so faint and innocent on that face of his. And it was inviting.
Ran didn't mind the ghosts much. Sometimes, they wouldn't really bother him, just lightly brushing past. Sometimes, they got violent. Sometimes, it was just the naughty wind that had a frivolous whim to do strange things to him at times. As long as they left him relatively well alone, he was happy. They couldn't hurt him after all.

Did he think she was a ghost,oh well if he wanted to ignore her it was his problem. She continued to take a sip of the tea and then put the cup down, this young man was very good at ignoring people and she was trying to keep her cool from literally yelling at him.But that wouldn't do anything he would just continue to ignore her, taking the cup up again she finished the tea and put the cup down once more.
"Delicious tea....".

[any idea where'd you wanna bring this to?]
For a moment he started, his mind had been too laxed that it wasn't ready for hearing her again but it recovered fast enough that Ran didn't experience the fear, calmly sipping his tea to the bottom of his cup, watching the cup get placed back down on the table. The tea was soothing, it was making him sleepy. He might just do that. Later. He thought of dark waters rippling with a drop. The scent of tea made him drink again, taking the next cup as he hadn't realised he'd just finished one. He couldn't remember.
