Turning that "frown" upside down just makes uʍoɹɟ ...
Aiko twirled around the kitchen, singing Once Upon a December in a slightly more childish and soprano manner then the song seemed to have intended. She was happy---that was obvious---and even if you look hard enough you could tell why. She was in love. Oh, the feelings that erupt with the simple four lettered word... to her love meant only David, though. Perfect David Turner. A master, but a kind master. She'd already deluded herself into believing they were soul mates from the beginning. When she wasn't with him, she was thinking about him; and when she wasn't thinking about him... well, it was impossible not to recall a time that there was, so if she wasn't thinking about him, she would probably suspect that she was dead---and quite obviously, that hadn't occurred just yet.
She was baking cookies, and the aroma filled the kitchen. Although she wasn't exactly the best cook, she was trying and it was supposed to be the thought that counts. She had spent all morning looking up the recipe, all noon finding the ingredients, and now that it was evening they were finally almost done! The window above the sink let her see a clear view of the sunset which radiated into the kitchen through the open shades, sending sparkles off the diamond earrings that she decided to wear. After she was done baking, she would invite her latest fancy to try them... he would no doubt love them---she had convinced herself this---because, since he was perfect, he would adore slightly crisp (badly burnt) cookies with a bit too much ginger---of course he would, he was David!
As she cleaned up the bowls while waiting for the second batch to finish, she continued to sing and waltz around the kitchen; not a care in the world. She wore a light turquoise spring dress with simple straps and a string around the waist with buttons up the middle ((click here for modeled image)), the color bringing out the blue in her eyes as her long silky black hair cascading loosely down her back, framing her pale face. Her feet were bare, and moved noiselessly as she danced around the kitchen. What a lovely day it was---was that cloud shaped as heart? Splendid! And there was a butterfly---no wait a fuzzy moth? Even more so lovely!
Spinning once more around and getting a kettle from a cabinet to make tea, she noticed that her cookies were late for their due time and would most likely be as burnt as the first batch. Shrugging as she sang, she put the empty kettle on the counter and pulled on her oven mitts, opening the stove to cause more of the delicious smell to escape as she reached in to pull the tray out.
