"The child must know that he is a miracle,
that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been,
and until the end of the world there will not be,
another child like him."

"'They are forbidden by Peter,'" Mei read aloud, her son propped up in her lap, leaning his little head again her luxurious breasts as he peered at the page she held before them wide eyed, trying his best to read along, "...'to look in the least like him, and they wear the skins of bears slain by themselves, in which they are so round and furry that when they fall they roll. They have therefore become very sure footed.'" It was the orignal Peter Pan story that she was reading to him---by J.M. Barrie---her favorite of all their bed time stories. The thin paper back was worn and old, the pages slightly yellowed by the age, and this was not the first time that Mei had read this to her little boy; he had heard it many times, but being so young---only one and a half years of age---he could not remember that well yet, so was surprised every time; not to mention he was only just barely learning to speak.[/blockquote]
Mei flipped her silky brown hair back when it began to slide in front of her and onto Yuu's bunny hat, as she turned the page, reading on. They had not been visited for quite some time, and that was fortune to Mei. Being a beautiful young, and experienced, slave, many times masters would try to have their way with her, and she'd have to leave Yuu alone for a while---something she hated doing, but would do so that the master would not torment her child along with her. She'd give up anything for little baby Yuu, that was why they lived in the place where the curse didn't affect them, so that Yuu could grow big and strong and not be quite so defenseless. Even if she had to give up her perfect youth being with him, she was twenty now, if they stayed ten years when he was became a preteen she'd be thirty by then, she would do it. That was what she planned to do.
Better still, she made Yuu a master, so he would not be pushed around like she so often was. Kissing his head as she thought it, she was glad that his future was so bright looking. She smiled as she read, turning the page again; that was all she ever asked for. It was too late for her, her childhood had gone away from the moment she was born in that ally and left behind in a dumpster, but for Yuu: it was only just beginning, and no one could take that away from him or her.
"'Such is the terrible man against whom Peter Pan is pitted. Which will win?'"
